I completed my Doctoral program in Finance in 2004 at the Stern School of Business, New York University. The university was great with all the latest in technology. I will recommend it to other students.

ratingSelection process and gaining admission

My selection to Stern School of Business was quite smooth. I had done my bachelors in Chemical and Industrial Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and was the recipient of the Governors Gold Medal for best all-round student and the C.V.Sastry Vice President of India endowment award for best all-round student in Chemical Engineering. I think all this made my entry to the US a cool affair.

I was awarded the University Doctoral Fellowship, Graduate Fellow of the Center of Law and Business and the Bogen Fellowship.

My areas of study include Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Corporate Finance implications for Asset pricing, Economics of Organizations and Entrepreneurial Finance. My PhD explored all these areas.

I worked as a Teaching Assistant for Corporate Finance, FinDotCom, and Options and Futures Course. My other interests include Writing, Saxophone (Tenor), Radio Host (hosted rock, blues and jazz shows on All India Radio, Chennai and WNYU, New York), Cricket (played for Institute Cricket team and in city league) and Travel.
