I completed my PhD in Physics at the university of Alabama. My area of specialisation was in the field of condensed matter physics. The course and modules fit into my background and my area of specialization quite well. I had communicated with my professor at the university and came to know that his field of research was similar to mine. These were important factors for me to choose Alabama.
My Acads at the time of applying were 63% in my Masters and 85% in my UG. This along with my good GRE and TOEFL scores helped me get the visa easily.
