The Sisters of Saint Dominic of Newburgh founded Mount Saint Mary College in 1930. Initially, the college was a Normal and Teacher Training School for the members of the religious community. The college offers a number of programs that enhance learning, including: Study Abroad, Internships & Co-operative Ed, Honor Societies, Honors Program and Student Tutoring. The college provides Adult Education, Graduate Programs that work for busy adults and Undergraduate Programs. The Mount offers cultural activities and lectures through its Cultural Center and the academics division.
